PM Modi is likely to visit the Serum Institute of India to review the progress of the vaccine, understand how the vaccine will work, and when it will hit the Indian market.
Soon some good news can be seen regarding the coronavirus vaccine. Prime Minister Narendra Modi is expected to visit Ahmedabad and Pune labs to know about the developments in the vaccine. There are speculations that the Prime minister can make some big announcements from there about the vaccine. On 28th November PM Modi will visit Pune located Serum Institute where the Covid-19 vaccine is under production stage. The Serum Institute of India has collaborated with AstraZeneca and Oxford University for coronavirus vaccine development.
The vaccine is already on its third clinical trial stage and now its final countdown has begun. On Saturday the Prime Minister will also visit the “Zydus Biotech Park” which is located in the outer region of Ahmedabad and will review the development status of the coronavirus vaccine. One of the candidates of the vaccine, “ZyCoV-D” is being developed by Zydus Cadila at the vaccine tech center, at Changodar park. According to some Govt. officials, the Prime Minister’s visit is speculated to focus on the Covid-19 vaccine only.
According to the sources, Prime Minister will go to Pune at the Serum Institute of India to examine the status of AstraZeneca, the vaccine developed by Oxford University after visiting Ahmedabad. On the other hand, Sola civil hospital has enrolled 5 volunteers for their human trial of “Covaxin” which under the development stage by Bharat Biotech. Bharat Biotech has joined forces with NIV and ICMR to develop the corona vaccine. The trail is in its final stage. To check the effectiveness of 500 consigned vaccines it will be tested on Healthy youth. For the trial, the hospital is setting its target for 1000 volunteers.
PM is set to land at Pune around 12:30 Pm. Where he will spend around an hour in the Serum Institute and will review the mechanism designed for the production, launching, and distribution of the coronavirus vaccine. Apart from the Prime Minister many other scientists and ambassadors are also expected to be present there. PM Modi in his review meetings with the chief ministers has already said till we have clarity on the vaccine we should not let our guard down and said that there should not be any politics regarding this matter. And once again PM is leading and front and has decided to visit the Serum Institution and see how the vaccine production is going on.
